Coral is a semi-translucent to an opaque gemstone. When we think of Coral, we typically of the white, pink, or reddish-pink Coral Reefs that grow in warm ocean waters. Coral is an organic stone formed from living organisms. When the organisms die, they leave behind a hard skeleton. The Coral gemstone is created from this skeleton. The gemstone can come in various colors such as purple, blue, and yellow. The color depends on a mix of the algae present within their tissues and some corals can also be fluorescent.
